True to Vale do Lobo's reputation for being a trendsetter in design and the use of technology, the resort's architects and engineers, after years of preparations, are constructing Villa Nutopia, a super intelligent show house.
Villa Nutopia has its roots back in the eighties when Vale do Lobo architects and engineers worked together with Dutch technology professor Chriet Titualer on a concept which became known as Project Utopia. This name proved well chosen, as this project was never fully realised… but still, many innovations were introduced in several resort villas.
Today however, existing technology as well as new inventions and practical innovations can and will be applied to create the ultimate intelligent home in Vale do Lobo. Villa Nutopia was designed by Vale do Lobo's chief architect, design and creative director Vasco Vieira, in close cooperation with Arqui+ architectura design. The villa will be realised by the resort's head engineer, Nuno Leonardo and by Vale do Lobo's in-house electronics and IT teams, headed by engineers Nuno Dias and Paulo Barbosa. They will closely cooperate with Censys Residential Control, a leading Dutch company which specialises in in-house high technology systems.
In Villa Nutopia, which will conveniently present itself as soon as you have entered the house, all electronic functions will be fully integrated. This means that, taking specific activities in and around the house as a starting point, simple finger tip control on a touch screen or keypad is enough to start an entire series of electronic functions. Phones, security systems, irrigation systems and air conditioning systems are controlled through a simple keypad, so you can change the temperature setting, arm your security system, or alter the lighting from anywhere in the house. Levels of convenience, security and enjoyment you thought were merely a dream in the distance, are very much a reality.
